When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Beazley's Fausto Bastian got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adolfo Beltza. Adolfo Beltza made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Simon Teyo sent off a good shot on target. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Teyo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Gabino in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Beltza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, River Plate's Adolfo Beltza got control of the ball when Hernan Gabino tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Beazley left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than River Plate.
