In the 18th minute, Delmar Ireno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Celio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Anaxágoras booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Ermano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vikings's Domingo Argi got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Anaxágoras's Flavio Fraco got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 38 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Armando Cesaro. Delmar Ireno took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Celio. Freddy Celio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

Freddy Celio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Fraco in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Vikings getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Aquiles Beti hit a great ball. Freddy Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Fraco in the 68th minute of play. After 84 played minutes, Anaxágoras's Mario Iago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddy Celio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Anaxágoras reached it. Domingo Argi hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Anaxágoras were the better team. Anaxágoras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
