Igor Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the El ciclon Gambito defense, Isidoro Gaur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigio Giraldo. The El ciclon Gambito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigio Giraldo should have stopped the shot. Filomeno Oriol came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by El ciclon Gambito's Igor Lucian. But to his dismay, Igor Lucian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Astor Lordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Regina Sporting booed when El ciclon Gambito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Heriberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Orlondo shot a long shot in the 33rd minute and a light blocked Remigio Giraldo hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-3. After 38 played minutes El ciclon Gambito got a freekick which was hit by Dante Silbestre. After 43 played minutes, Regina Sporting's Fernando Amor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remigio Giraldo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Regina Sporting reached it. Remigio Giraldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Gaitan went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Gaitan to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, El ciclon Gambito's goalkeeper Remigio Giraldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Gaitan. In the 55th minute, Mariano Gaitan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Regina Sporting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Paolo Orlo's late challenge caught a El ciclon Gambito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Orlo helped the player get up and apologised. Paolo Orlo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Filomeno Oriol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Silbestre in the 71st minute of play. Regina Sporting's Isidoro Gaur got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Gaur in the 75th minute of the match. 1-7 became the score in the 76th minute when Mariano Gaitan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Isidoro Gaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Remigio Giraldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Gaur struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Remigio Giraldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regina Sporting. A hard shot by Mariano Orlondo from long distance, 90 minutes into the match, got Remigio Giraldo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 1-8 became the score in the 91st minute when Mariano Gaitan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, El ciclon Gambito's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Gaur came free, but Remigio Giraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Regina Sporting played a much better game than El ciclon Gambito and deserved their victory. The El ciclon Gambito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
