The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Melquiades Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Edur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Lastur in the 8th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Assunta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Quinito to maneuver through the defense. Feliciano Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliciano Umbruso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Teofilo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Assunta's Gualterio Padro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Melquiades Lastur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tandil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marco Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guido Quinten kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Gumaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Lastur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Edur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tandil FC's Marco Gumaro in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Assunta's goalie prevented a goal. Enrique Edur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Gumaro in the 68th minute of the match. Melquiades Lastur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Enrique Edur made a huge save. Feliciano Umbruso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Teofilo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marco Gumaro came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Tandil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Gumaro couldn't finish the play. Tandil FC's Teofilo Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Umbruso in the 88th minute of play. Teofilo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Padro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Marco Gumaro succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tandil FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
