After a defensive mix-up in Tauren F.C's zone, Melquiades Edorta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krzysztof Kochniarczyk came out of the goal and Melquiades Edorta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th match minute, Gimnasia y Tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Ciano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Edorta in the 40th minute of play forced Tauren F.C's goalkeeper Krzysztof Kochniarczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Melquiades Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia y Tiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Edorta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Kochniarczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Simon Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tauren F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Quico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Enaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sergio Berart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
