After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Carolo Peter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagual's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Peter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Carolo Peter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teofilo Gonsalvo. Tandil FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carolo Peter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Tandil FC defense, Placido Polo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teofilo Gonsalvo. The Tandil FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teofilo Gonsalvo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Bagual getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Inocencio Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Placido Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagual's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Polo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Gonsalvo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Guido Quinten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bagual's zone, Melquiades Lastur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teddy Roche came out of the goal and Melquiades Lastur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Marco Gumaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Roche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Bagual got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Montez. When Melquiades Lastur came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Tandil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Lastur couldn't finish the play. After the first half Bagual were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Carolo Peter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Bermudez's late challenge caught a Bagual's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Bermudez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bagual booed when Tandil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Bermudez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Placido Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Placido Polo got free with Teofilo Gonsalvo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 82 minutes, Placido Polo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bagual's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Polo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tandil FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Carolo Peter scored to the left of an out of position Teofilo Gonsalvo, making the score, 0-3. Carolo Peter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Teofilo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carolo Peter got free with Teofilo Gonsalvo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tandil FC's Teofilo Gonsalvo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Tandil FC from getting a goal against them. Teddy Roche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Bagual played a much better game than Tandil FC and deserved their victory. The Tandil FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
