Anta's Leandro Pacifico suffered a sore knee after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y Tiro's Filiberto Librado got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y Tiro's zone, Pedro Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Enaut came out of the goal and Pedro Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Enaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Eron in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Gimnasia y Tiro booed when Anta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Ferman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Eron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leandro Enaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
