Dario Bide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Enaut having to interfere. Gimnasia y Tiro's Leandro Enaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Iturri in the 26th minute of play. Nunez Solustiano's late challenge caught a Gimnasia y Tiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nunez Solustiano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LuliCarp's Nunez Solustiano got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Aureliano Francho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Francho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, LuliCarp's Rodolfo Venerando got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Melquiades Edorta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LuliCarp's Patricio Figueroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Edorta in the 44th minute of play. If Aureliano Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th minute, LuliCarp's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Melquiades Edorta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 47th minute, Rodolfo Venerando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Bide to make the kick off. Gimnasia y Tiro's Aureliano Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aureliano Francho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Edorta scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Figueroa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dario Bide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. One of Gimnasia y Tiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LuliCarp:s goal. The goalkeeper, Leandro Enaut, was totally fooled by LuliCarp's Marcial Monico, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliano Francho in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Figueroa saved LuliCarp from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Pascual Iturri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leandro Enaut was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Pascual Iturri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filiberto Pudes struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Leandro Enaut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LuliCarp. In the 92nd minute of the match, Dario Bide tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leandro Enaut saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 93 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Tiro's goalkeeper Leandro Enaut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Iturri. Dario Bide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Enaut having to interfere.
