Teobaldo Rosio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Vedillo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Jesus Harkaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Rosio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobaldo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Vedillo in the 11th minute of play. Haroldo Frasco kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Ovidio Pasqual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Sidoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Pagomari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Social Flores's goalkeeper Edelmiro Sidoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesus Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Rosio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Que Lio Messi F.C.'s zone, Jesus Harkaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Rosio came out of the goal and Jesus Harkaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Sidoro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ovidio Pasqual sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Alejo Vedillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Harkaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Rosio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Saturnino Pepillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Saturnino Pepillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Sidoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Que Lio Messi F.C.'s Ovidio Pasqual sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edelmiro Sidoro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Jesus Harkaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Social Flores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Harkaitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saturnino Pepillo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saturnino Pepillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saturnino Pepillo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s Teobaldo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Que Lio Messi F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ovidio Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edelmiro Sidoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
