Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) Antonio Loren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Vargas's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Aurelio Lano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvano Hodei. Aurelio Lano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Faro FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fabricio Gitano hit a great ball. Antonio Loren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Boniel in the 21st minute of play. Emilio Boniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorio Vargas might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Loren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorio Vargas ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Boniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Loren having to interfere. Aurelio Lano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Silvano Hodei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Boniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Francisco Izotz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Lano was the one to do the kick off. Emilio Boniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Loren having to make a save. After 68 played minutes Barreto got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Abad. Silvano Hodei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Lano in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Aurelio Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Loren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Vargas's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Antonio Loren came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Barreto's Emilio Boniel. But to his dismay, Emilio Boniel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Aurelio Lano charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Lano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Aurelio Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Vargas in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Loren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emilio Boniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Faro FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Paul. In the 87th match minute, Barreto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Abad to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Baumer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Victorio Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Loren having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barreto walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
