If Neil Boothey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgura's Maximo Gabrio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Benjamin Lapurdi in the 13 minute of the game. When Maximo Gabrio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Fulgura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Gabrio couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the game, Fulgura's Neil Boothey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Eladio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Gamba Tesa's goalkeeper Filomeno Eladio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliberto Cloyo. After a defensive mix-up in Gamba Tesa's zone, Jonatan Chayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Eladio came out of the goal and Jonatan Chayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Feliberto Cloyo in the 36th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Filomeno Eladio kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. If Gustavo Sotil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gamba Tesa's Filomeno Eladio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Gamba Tesa from getting a goal against them. Maximo Gabrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filomeno Eladio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gamba Tesa's zone, Reynaldo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Eladio came out of the goal and Reynaldo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximo Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gamba Tesa's Filomeno Eladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Cloyo in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gamba Tesa's zone, Reynaldo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Eladio came out of the goal and Reynaldo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Maximo Gabrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulgura's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Gabrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Eladio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Maximo Gabrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Neil Boothey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Gamba Tesa defense, Neil Boothey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Eladio. The Gamba Tesa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Eladio should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristo Sarracino during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filiberto Otsando's late challenge caught a Gamba Tesa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filiberto Otsando helped the player get up and apologised. Arsenio Beltxe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Siro Gauargi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fulgura's Maximo Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Feliberto Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fulgura fully deserved thier win.
