In the 6thth minute of the game Vicente Innocenzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Russell AFC's Guillermo Beltza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Russell AFC's Bernardino Mogel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Ranolfo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guillermo Beltza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Innocenzio in the 34th minute of the match. Florentino Beturian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Russell AFC's goalkeeper Guillermo Beltza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Innocenzio made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Claypole AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Ospetsu. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Laureano Cucao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Russell AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laureano Cucao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Ranolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Guillermo Beltza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horacio Lapurdi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Claypole AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Russell AFC the free kick. After 93 played minutes Russell AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Berdaitz. When Claypole AFC's Vicente Innocenzio in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Claypole AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Russell AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
