The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laureano Cucao was the one to do the kick off. Alexandru Lechințan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When Jonatan Chayo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Fulgura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Chayo couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute of the match Emiliano Berdaitz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siro Gauargi skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neil Boothey in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Beltza saved Russell AFC from getting behind. Emiliano Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes in the game, Jonatan Chayo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Guillermo Beltza having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Neil Boothey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulgura's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Boothey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Beltza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
