Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Feliberto Cloyo made the kick off and thus started the match. Yader Rubial made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Cloyo in the 4th minute of play. When Jonatan Chayo came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Fulgura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Chayo couldn't finish the play. If Feliberto Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Neil Boothey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yader Rubial came out of the goal and Neil Boothey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fulgura booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yader Rubial came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Fulgura's Neil Boothey. But to his dismay, Neil Boothey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Neil Boothey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teo Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. River Plate's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonatan Chayo 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Lucas Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Feliberto Cloyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yader Rubial. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yader Rubial should have stopped the shot. Yader Rubial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Boothey, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Maximo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliberto Cloyo got free with Yader Rubial in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Siro Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amancio Gelacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Fulgura's Feliberto Cloyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yader Rubial made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. A collision led to Fulgura getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Reynaldo Franco hit a great ball. Siro Gauargi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Domingo Paublo. After having played for 73 minutes, Maximo Gabrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulgura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Gabrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulgura's Maximo Gabrio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yader Rubial stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neil Boothey's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Neil Boothey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yader Rubial having to interfere. After 82 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Teo Nuno. Jonatan Chayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Yader Rubial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Maximo Gabrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yader Rubial came out of the goal and Maximo Gabrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Filiberto Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulgura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Otsando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
