In the 13th match minute, The Dark Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Iratze to maneuver through the defense. Omar Iratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Yader Rubial tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Conrado Stephen came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the The Dark Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Stephen couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Amancio Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Leopoldo Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Dark Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The The Dark Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 36 minutes into the match, The Dark Team's goalkeeper Alvaro Lucian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Horado. In the 37th minute, River Plate's Teo Nuno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Lucian. Alvaro Lucian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Amancio Gelacio might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Lucian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Gelacio ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Gelacio made a kick off. River Plate's Yader Rubial proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Stephen during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conrado Stephen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Lázaro Garoa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Lucian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee showed Claudio Nerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Nerio. If Amancio Gelacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Leopoldo Gomez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yader Rubial. The goal made the score 2-3. After 91 played minutes The Dark Team got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Marz. When Amancio Gelacio came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Gelacio couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Claudio Nerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Nerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Lucian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
