An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Chayo in the 11th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Hipolito Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Nesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Iker Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Nesor hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Bernabe Pitin got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ramon Orlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Leizarraga in the 32nd minute of the match. Hipolito Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Chayo in the 33rd minute of play. Boca Juniors's Iker Frances came free and shot a quick shot against goal 34 minutes in the game, fortunately Hipolito Gartxot had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 35 played minutes Douglas Haig got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Millan. Iker Frances received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hipolito Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Abelardo Millan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Javier Chayo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Iker Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ramon Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Leizarraga came free, but Ramon Orlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Iker Frances was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douglas Haig the free kick. Iker Frances kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Iker Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Javier Chayo's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Zeledon Leizarraga took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Ramon Orlo to make any attempt to save it. Zeledon Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ramon Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Dayam's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Ramon Orlo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hipolito Gartxot came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Iker Frances. But to his dismay, Iker Frances quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Zeledon Leizarraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Leizarraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Orlo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute Nereo Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Iker Frances had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Nesor in the 84th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Hipolito Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Boca Juniors fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! When Bernabe Pitin fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Douglas Haig's protests and gave Bernabe Pitin a yellow card for diving instead. Bernabe Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Boca Juniors were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
