But to his dismay, Ciriaco Estebe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Douglas Haig's Hipolito Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Abaurre in the 25th minute of play. Zeledon Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jaime Dayam struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Leonel Lorenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Haig. Jaime Dayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Sanabria's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Leizarraga came free, but Leonel Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Leizarraga was the one to do the kick off. Sanabria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douglas Haig the free kick. After 59 played minutes Sanabria got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Sazon. Zeledon Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zeledon Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Leizarraga in the 73rd minute of play forced Sanabria's goalkeeper Leonel Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Sanabria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Leizarraga in the 75th minute of play. Saturnino Cutberto hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
