Jimeno Valiente in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enrique Handi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Benigno Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Jimeno Valiente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Enrique Handi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mulcahy's Enrique Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Polentzi in the 13th minute of play. Jimeno Valiente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Handi having to interfere. Roque Astudillo came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mulcahy's Severino Edur. But to his dismay, Severino Edur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amancio Rayman during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palermo FC! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Edur in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Astudillo saved Palermo FC from getting behind. Celedonio Moise charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celedonio Moise the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Palermo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Moise to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Palermo FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lucas Lugo hit a great ball. If Marco Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Edur to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Edur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Roque Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albano Mattin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Astudillo having to interfere. Palermo FC's Jimeno Valiente got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Roque Astudillo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 69th minute, but Roque Astudillo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Palermo FC hanging dry this time. Marco Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Enrique Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Benigno Argi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mulcahy the free kick. After 74 played minutes Palermo FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Argi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Edur in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Astudillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gaston Gonzo fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mulcahy's protests and gave Gaston Gonzo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mulcahy getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gaston Gonzo hit a great ball. Mulcahy's Enrique Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Valiente in the 81st minute of play. Enrique Handi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Valiente in the 83rd minute of the match. Albano Mattin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palermo FC's Benigno Argi got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Benigno Argi off the ground. Benigno Argi hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Albano Mattin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Edur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Astudillo having to interfere. Jimeno Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Enrique Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Handi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Valiente, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Mulcahy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
