After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Abel Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanabria's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Abaurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Sayvion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Sanabria's Ciriaco Estebe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Sayvion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Sanabria's Leonel Lorenz got control of the ball when Feliberto Firme tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, one of Sanabria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sanabria. Leonel Lorenz went to the wrong direction when Higinio Manni was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Feliberto Firme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Sayvion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Estebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Theodore in the 34th minute of the match. Cleto Theodore struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Leonel Lorenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnsia de Jujuy. Sanabria's Leonel Lorenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Sanabria from getting a goal against them. Feliberto Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Leonel Lorenz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sanabria's Abel Abaurre in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Estebe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Gimnsia de Jujuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Millan to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Estebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Leandro Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ciriaco Estebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Theodore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lorenz having to interfere. Abel Abaurre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Feliberto Firme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Sanabria's Domingos Sazon got a free kick in the 69th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 71st minute when Cleto Theodore elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Leonel Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Theodore in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Estebe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leandro Sayvion, 2-1. Sanabria's Leonel Lorenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Firme in the 86th minute of play. Leonel Lorenz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Theodore, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Sanabria's Ciriaco Estebe in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnsia de Jujuy's goalie prevented a goal. Gimnsia de Jujuy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
