Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Chayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Javier Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Frances in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Javier Chayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Lorenz was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Chayo in the 46th minute of play forced Sanabria's goalkeeper Leonel Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Iker Frances fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Lorenz having to interfere. Javier Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iker Frances got free with Leonel Lorenz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Lorenz came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Iker Frances. But to his dismay, Iker Frances quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Javier Chayo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Lorenz saved Sanabria from getting behind. After 82nd play minutes Javier Chayo shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Leonel Lorenz and just under the crossbar into goal. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Leonel Lorenz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Javier Chayo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Iker Frances in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonel Lorenz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 92 minutes into the match, Sanabria's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Chayo came free, but Leonel Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Boca Juniors's Javier Chayo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5.
