Miñones FC's Rafael Berenguer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Miñones FC from getting a goal against them. Rafael Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Millrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Valiente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Jenaro in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Gavino Guilabertus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Cornelio Emesto put in a rough tackle. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Miñones FC! Miñones FC's Rafael Berenguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Atarratze in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Miñones FC booed when Chinga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Quilino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Millrick hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ricardo Benet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Abelardo Tulio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miñones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Tulio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Valiente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Honorio Bizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chinga FC's Abelardo Valiente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Bizen in the 37th minute of play. Honorio Bizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Chinga FC's Gavino Guilabertus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Berenguer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Benet made a kick off. When Abelardo Tulio came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Miñones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Tulio couldn't finish the play.
