The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carmelo Niva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Atarratze during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Zeledon Atarratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Andres Lucian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Valiente was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Gavino Guilabertus kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Chinga FC's Leo Rodriguez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinicio Atarratze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Leo Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Valiente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Rolón's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Millrick came free, but Vinicio Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andres Lucian was the one to do the kick off. Rolón's Vinicio Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Millrick in the 51st minute of play. Leo Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Atarratze having to interfere. Gavino Guilabertus hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Vinicio Atarratze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Millrick in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Florentino Millrick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chinga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 73rd match minute, Chinga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Atarratze to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiro Errando, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 78th match minute, Chinga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Quilino to maneuver through the defense. Florentino Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vinicio Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinicio Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Florentino Millrick sped through Rolón's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vinicio Atarratze. Rolón's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
