CRAI's Teobaldo Argina couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ElFortin FC. In the 10th match minute, ElFortin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Abel to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Bento in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquiles Gutierrez saved ElFortin FC from getting behind. Cristo Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aquiles Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Camilo Eliu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the CRAI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Eliu couldn't finish the play. Aquiles Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Eliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Gutierrez having to interfere. If Cristo Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ElFortin FC's Aquiles Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Bento in the 37th minute of play. When CRAI's Cristo Bento in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ElFortin FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cristo Bento spun around in front of the goal 41 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of ElFortin FC's goal. The audience was convinced that Camilo Eliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Gutierrez was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Bento to make the kick off. Cristo Bento struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Aquiles Gutierrez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRAI. In the 66th minute, Camilo Eliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aquiles Gutierrez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Cristo Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the CRAI defense, Alvaro Kemen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Llorienzo. The CRAI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Llorienzo should have stopped the shot.
