In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvarado Futbol Club's goalkeeper Angel Argoitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes in the game, Leo Rodriguez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angel Argoitz having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Florencio Quin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Quin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Placido Sedeni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes, Rogelio Munio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chinga FC and the Alvarado Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Chinga FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Viviano. 22 minutes into the match, Chinga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Sedeni came free, but Abelardo Valiente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chinga FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emiliano Orti was slow to take the kick. During this time Alvarado Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. When Octavio Stanislao fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvarado Futbol Club's protests and gave Octavio Stanislao a yellow card for diving instead. Octavio Stanislao hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Alvarado Futbol Club's Gervasio Ledesma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Valiente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gervasio Ledesma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Quilino charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Quilino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benito Quilino hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Placido Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Alvarado Futbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chinga FC:s goal. Abelardo Valiente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Ledesma in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Leo Rodriguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Argoitz. Alvarado Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leo Rodriguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Benito Quilino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angel Argoitz. Alvarado Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angel Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Rodriguez in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Ledesma in the 84th minute of play forced Chinga FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Valiente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alvarado Futbol Club's zone, Zeledon Atarratze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Argoitz came out of the goal and Zeledon Atarratze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Quin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Leo Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Rodriguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Argoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Quin in the 94th minute of the match. Placido Sedeni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Valiente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Chinga FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
