In the 9th minute, Aquiles Giraldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niupi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 16 played minutes CRAI got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Argina. The supporters of Niupi FC booed when CRAI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Dunixi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes, Niupi FC's Mauricio Ekaitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gustavo Llorienzo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Niupi FC reached it. Gustavo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Giraldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Santo Kiliz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRAI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niupi FC the free kick. After 21 played minutes CRAI got a freekick which was hit by Santo Kiliz. After 29 minutes, Aquiles Giraldo made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. CRAI's Gustavo Llorienzo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. CRAI's Gustavo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Giraldo in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Romelio in the 38th minute of play forced CRAI's goalkeeper Gustavo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Romelio struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gustavo Llorienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niupi FC. Aquiles Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Llorienzo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Armando Urbasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Llorienzo was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Aquiles Giraldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquiles Giraldo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Miguel Romelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Llorienzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Aquiles Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, CRAI's Gustavo Llorienzo got control of the ball when Aquiles Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Giraldo got free with Gustavo Llorienzo in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Llorienzo having to interfere. Gregorio Louis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Eliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The CRAI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Niupi FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
