Valentin Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Cristos in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Liniers booed when La Azul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Leonides Goi made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Lertxun. La Azul FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, La Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Goi came free, but Valentin Lertxun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Cayetano Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Lertxun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Liniers getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Constantino Benitez hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Tobias Astudillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Goi was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Primitivo Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Tabb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Tobias Astudillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Azul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Astudillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Tabb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Primitivo Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Tabb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Lertxun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Goi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tobias Astudillo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the La Azul FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Astudillo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Burni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaudencio Tabb was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. If Primitivo Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Amador Orzaize was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liniers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Azul FC the free kick. In the 84th minute of the match Cristobal Benet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaudencio Tabb showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Liniers's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Astudillo came free, but Gaudencio Tabb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Herminio Ixaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Lertxun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Orzaize in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Liniers's Cayetano Cristos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Lertxun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chants of Liniers echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as La Azul FC had held the ball for most of the match.
