Martínez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resacados FC the free kick. A collision led to Martínez getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Horacio Haitz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Teyo in the 16th minute of play forced Martínez's goalkeeper Lino Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Kinsen took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Ubarna. Lino Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eulalio Teyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Jose Mannuel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lino Ubarna. Martínez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Mannuel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Resacados FC's goalkeeper Americo Playo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Eulalio Teyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lino Ubarna was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Martínez's Cosme Miro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Americo Playo but with some difficulty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo Vergaray to make the kick off. Aureliano Johans struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Americo Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martínez. After a rather tough play, Resacados FC's Eustacio Sadurni got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Cosme Miro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Americo Playo skillfully saved the ball.
