A nice corner shot did that Ezequiel Erlantz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nereo Osmundo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Soldados Albirrojos's Jose Heli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nereo Osmundo. That made the score 1-0 after 44 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rigoberto Abeijon to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Raimundo Ioritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
