The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Farias got free with Luis Ramone in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edelmiro Farias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Ramone having to interfere. Cirilo Seber struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fulgencio Sanduru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hakuna Matata FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Oihenarte in the 23rd minute of play forced Telén's goalkeeper Fulgencio Sanduru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Farias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edelmiro Farias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Ramone having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Luis Ramone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elvio Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Sanduru having to interfere. Benedicto Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Ramone having to interfere. Luis Ramone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Telén's Fulgencio Sanduru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Oihenarte in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvio Beturian made a kick off. If Benedicto Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Telén's zone, Edelmiro Oihenarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Sanduru came out of the goal and Edelmiro Oihenarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Poncio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Fulgencio Sanduru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Beturian in the 73rd minute of play. Edelmiro Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Sanduru having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Benedicto Brun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Ramone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Brun's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Edelmiro Farias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Luis Ramone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Telén were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hakuna Matata FC to leave the ground with a draw.
