Vinicio Ongile charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vinicio Ongile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of la21 booed when Telén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Ongile didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Nicanor Rioja sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Telén's Fulgencio Sanduru didn't even have to move. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cecilio Feo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Brun was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Benedicto Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Telén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Brun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. la21's Ladislao Bartolome got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ladislao Bartolome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Sanduru having to interfere. With a little luck, Telén's Fulgencio Sanduru got control of the ball when Ladislao Bartolome tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Telén could leave the field as winners, despite la21 having more of the ball for most of the match.
