An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Argina in the 2nd minute of play forced Palmitas's goalkeeper Astor Jakue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, Simon Lizer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablos Rojos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas's zone, Paulino Argina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Jakue came out of the goal and Paulino Argina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Lizer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Astor Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Ireno lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Palmitas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Diablos Rojos:s goal. Paulino Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Astor Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Simon Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Lizer got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 3-0 in the right cross in the 27th match minute before Astor Jakue had time to react. Astor Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Paulino Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Astor Jakue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Lizer in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Filomeno Hotz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Ferdinand was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Paulino Argina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Jakue having to make a save. Mateo Lucian kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas's zone, Paulino Argina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The wind increased when Paulino Argina made the kick off in the second half. Mateo Lucian charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Lucian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when Palmitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Lucian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Astor Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filomeno Hotz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Ferdinand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Paulino Argina struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Astor Jakue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos Rojos. Simon Lizer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Froilan Lucian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Jakue was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Astor Jakue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Argina in the 70th minute of the match. Filomeno Hotz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Jairo Ferdinand made a huge save. The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when Palmitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Bertin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diablos Rojos's Simon Lizer got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Simon Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Simon Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 90 in the game by Filomeno Hotz from a close distance when the talented Jairo Ferdinand managed to make a qualified save. Diablos Rojos's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute, Palmitas's Filomeno Hotz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. There was no doubt that Diablos Rojos were the better team. Diablos Rojos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
