MERLINFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. A collision led to MERLINFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Silvestre Cidro hit a great ball. If Andres Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ciro Txanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Rojelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Tabb went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Guaberto Derwin kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Aaron Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MERLINFC's Ciro Txanton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aaron Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luciano Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaron Marquez was the one to do the kick off. Ciro Txanton came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Aaron Marquez. But to his dismay, Aaron Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Marquez in the 58th minute of play forced MERLINFC's goalkeeper Ciro Txanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Andres Calisto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 62 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Cidro came free, but Eustacio Rojelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Aaron Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Luciano Goizeder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Ciro Txanton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alejandro Gipuzkoa charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Gipuzkoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes, MERLINFC's Niceto Figueroa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eustacio Rojelio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MERLINFC reached it. When Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Aaron Marquez in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MERLINFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Aaron Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MERLINFC's Ciro Txanton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciro Txanton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Marquez in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Hernan Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Txanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Bazil in the 79th minute of play. Eustacio Rojelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ciro Txanton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Marquez's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, MERLINFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Sauveur to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Txanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Marquez in the 90th minute of play. If Aaron Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 97 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Eustacio Rojelio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvestre Cidro. When the referee ended the match the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
