In the 19th minute Nicanor Matei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Adolfo Ondino made a precise shot to the right of Eustaquio Casado. Motor Alma y Sangre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 27th minute Erubiel Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Atauri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Motor Alma y Sangre's Erubiel Figueroa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Atauri was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

50 minutes into the game, Erubiel Jurdan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IM James Liquin HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motor Alma y Sangre the free kick. Eustaquio Casado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Ondino's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. IM James Liquin HC were furious when Sergio Ado was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 58th minute, one of IM James Liquin HC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IM James Liquin HC. Nicanor Matei took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Atauri. Severino Atauri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. With a little luck, IM James Liquin HC's Severino Atauri got control of the ball when Erubiel Figueroa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eustaquio Casado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Garin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. IM James Liquin HC's Severino Atauri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save IM James Liquin HC from getting a goal against them. Severino Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Figueroa in the 79th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
