Celso Giro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Senen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Albatros defense, Elpidio Galeno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sixto Pancho. The Albatros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixto Pancho should have stopped the shot. In the 10th minute, Venancio Isusko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgilio Senen. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 12th minute, Damaso Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Orleans FC's zone, Florencio Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Senen came out of the goal and Florencio Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgilio Senen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Isusko, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Elpidio Galeno notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Albatros's Sixto Pancho. Sixto Pancho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute Gabriel Merexildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Nueva Orleans FC were awarded a corner. Gabriel Merexildo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nueva Orleans FC's Gabriel Merexildo to fire away a dangerous shot which Sixto Pancho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 25 played minutes Albatros got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Min. After 26 minutes, Epifanio Ted mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nueva Orleans FC and the Albatros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Epifanio Ted hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Albatros's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Merexildo came free, but Sixto Pancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Senen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Min in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Galeno in the 34th minute of play forced Albatros's goalkeeper Sixto Pancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixto Pancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Merexildo in the 35th minute of the match. If Venancio Isusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Albatros booed when Nueva Orleans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Lordi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Florencio Barbosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nueva Orleans FC's Virgilio Senen didn't even have to move. 46 minutes into the match, Gabriel Merexildo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixto Pancho. Albatros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Merexildo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Nueva Orleans FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Merexildo to strike the kick off in the second half. Nueva Orleans FC's Virgilio Senen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Isusko in the 53rd minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Cayetano Qwinton heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 59th minute German Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Nueva Orleans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Isusko came free, but Virgilio Senen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Cayetano Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albatros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Qwinton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Senen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hermengildo Diegotxe fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albatros's protests and gave Hermengildo Diegotxe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Albatros getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hermengildo Diegotxe hit a great ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Cayetano Qwinton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albatros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Qwinton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Senen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Min in the 72nd minute of the match. Virgilio Senen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Isusko in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match, Elpidio Galeno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sixto Pancho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 81 minutes into the game, Maximino Min cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Virgilio Senen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriel Merexildo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Sixto Pancho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Sixto Pancho managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Nueva Orleans FC's Gabriel Merexildo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Albatros's Cayetano Qwinton got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Hermengildo Diegotxe put in a rough tackle. Sixto Pancho had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Gabriel Merexildo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Albatros were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
