Victor Arixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Guido Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Obano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Pacorro having to interfere. Eduardo Chap blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgilio Pacorro having to make a save.

Patagon succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though MARADONA sublime 1986 had controlled the match.
