The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nestor Bertin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Pelagius went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Granada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Enaut came free, but Ciriaco Roderigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Pelagius to make the kick off. Victorino Pelagius struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Nestor Bertin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granada FC. When Norberto Maurino fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cieneguillas's protests and gave Norberto Maurino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Granada FC booed when Cieneguillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Maurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Pelagius took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Bertin. Nestor Bertin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ciriaco Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Enaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Victorino Pelagius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Bertin having to make a save. Norberto Maurino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ciriaco Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Cieneguillas's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Bladi came free, but Nestor Bertin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute of the match, Norberto Maurino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ciriaco Roderigo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. During the 75th minute of the match Uriel Claris completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Uriel Claris a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Granada FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Uriel Claris hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Israel Enaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Israel Enaut received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciriaco Roderigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Israel Enaut slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. With his leg Ciriaco Roderigo managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Cieneguillas's Norberto Maurino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Israel Enaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Bladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Israel Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Clodoveo Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Granada FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
