When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Roy De Witte sped through C.A Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agustin Munio. Agustin Munio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandão Tande went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 15 minutes, Ismael Gutxi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club de la Serpiente and the C.A Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club de la Serpiente getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ismael Gutxi hit a great ball. Blas Pabla charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Pabla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Club de la Serpiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.A Boca Juniors:s goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Daniel Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club de la Serpiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Lekubegi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guaberto Micael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Distiratsu in the 25th minute of play. C.A Boca Juniors's Rafik Barbarossa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fernandão Tande, made in the 33rd minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Club de la Serpiente's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Weterio came free, but Guaberto Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Micael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melchor Weterio went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy De Witte to make the kick off. 54 minutes in the game, Kajetan Wisniewski fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Guaberto Micael having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Blas Pabla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Club de la Serpiente's zone, Melchor Weterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Micael came out of the goal and Melchor Weterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the game, Melchor Weterio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guaberto Micael. Melchor Weterio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kajetan Wisniewski in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Micael saved Club de la Serpiente from getting behind. Guaberto Micael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melchor Weterio in the 77th minute. In the 86th minute Melchor Weterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Micael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A Boca Juniors's Federico Alvarez was substituted for Kajetan Wisniewski. A collision led to C.A Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jorge Lupo hit a great ball. Roy De Witte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustin Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, C.A Boca Juniors's Federico Alvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Micael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over C.A Boca Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club de la Serpiente throughout the match.
