An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Chico in the 22nd minute of play forced Argentina FC's goalkeeper Nereo Nahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Celipe having to interfere. Independiente's Erubiel Celipe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Cresenciano in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ruperto Elija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Celedonio Chico notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Argentina FC's Nereo Nahia. Nereo Nahia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Argentina FC's Nereo Nahia got control of the ball when Ruperto Elija tried to sneak it across the goal line.
