Marciano Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cienega AFC's Anacleto Maju in 4 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gervásio Lage guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Cienega AFC's Raimundo Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Guillelme in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Baldomiro Cibran took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Raimundo Playo to make any attempt to save it. When Baldomiro Cibran in the 14th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Raimundo Playo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. A collision led to Cienega AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fabricio Guillerme hit a great ball. Baldomiro Cibran struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Raimundo Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SportingLanus. If Anacleto Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marciano Abajas's late challenge caught a Cienega AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, SportingLanus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Abajas to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, SportingLanus's Baldomiro Cibran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Raimundo Playo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Abeijon in the 42nd minute. Angelino Guillelme's late challenge caught a Cienega AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Guillelme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Angelino Guillelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Cibran took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Playo. Raimundo Playo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.

54 minutes into the game, Zeledon Luzea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Raimundo Playo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Cienega AFC's zone, Baldomiro Cibran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Playo came out of the goal and Baldomiro Cibran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 played minutes Cienega AFC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Abeijon. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Baldomiro Cibran sped through Cienega AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raimundo Playo. Cienega AFC's Raimundo Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Cibran in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, SportingLanus's Baldomiro Cibran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Playo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a rather tough play, SportingLanus's Venancio Ramos got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Zeledon Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cienega AFC's zone, Baldomiro Cibran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Playo came out of the goal and Baldomiro Cibran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SportingLanus fully deserved thier win.
