After 33 played minutes SportingLanus got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Guter. When Americo Suarez fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Litoral Rovers's protests and gave Americo Suarez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Litoral Rovers getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Americo Suarez hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SportingLanus's Baldomiro Cibran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florentino Cristofol. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Froilan Firme to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Baldomiro Cibran sped through Litoral Rovers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florentino Cristofol. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SportingLanus fully deserved thier win.
