Paulina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Saturnin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cienega AFC's zone, Elpidio Argoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Playo came out of the goal and Elpidio Argoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Errando's late challenge caught a Paulina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Errando helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Cienega AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Errando. Tomas Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Playo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Saturnin went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Raimundo Playo came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Paulina FC's Israel Saturnin. But to his dismay, Israel Saturnin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 38th minute, Anacleto Maju made a precise shot to the right of Tomas Matei. Paulina FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Freddy Iturri's late challenge caught a Paulina FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. A collision led to Cienega AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Candido Abeijon hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Cienega AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Saturnin came free, but Raimundo Playo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Paulina FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Crispo. 48 minutes into the match, Paulina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Berart came free, but Tomas Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The wind increased when Abel Firman made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Paulina FC booed when Cienega AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Abeijon didn't get a good kick on the ball.
