Silverio Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Gomez in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Deportivo Roca getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Desiderio Espiridion hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Gonzalo Fix put in a rough tackle. 33 minutes into the game, one of Cotagaita:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marco Sancho's late challenge caught a Deportivo Roca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Cotagaita got a freekick which was hit by Marco Sancho. With a little luck, Cotagaita's Silvio Florin got control of the ball when Valentin Gaitan tried to sneak it across the goal line. With splendid footwork Hermengildo Gutxi arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulino Gomez to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Gaitan in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Florin saved Cotagaita from getting behind. Paulino Gomez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Paulino Gomez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Silverio Maura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cotagaita's Paulino Gomez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Florin having to interfere. If Hermengildo Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Abaurre charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Abaurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Roca booed when Cotagaita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Gaitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Cotagaita's Silvio Florin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Gaitan in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Paulino Gomez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silverio Maura was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cotagaita's zone, Hermengildo Gutxi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Florin came out of the goal and Hermengildo Gutxi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
