The audience thought a goal was coming when Santo Beturian got free with Modesto Efraim in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nestor Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lafontaine's Modesto Efraim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Beturian in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Lafontaine's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Beturian came free, but Modesto Efraim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carolo Ubelteso's late challenge caught a Lafontaine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carolo Ubelteso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LA SCALONETA FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Carolo Ubelteso hit a great ball.
