When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Felipe Medero took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Domingo Eutor to make any attempt to save it. Domingo Eutor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herminio Francho went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute Celso Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Empalme could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Veyn throughout the match.
