Mateo Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Lopes in the 13th minute of the match. Mateo Hegoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Mikeldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Luciano Bikendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Berriotxoa having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Scalonetta booed when Machigasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Sabino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Deportivo Scalonetta's Rodriguinho Lopes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Hegoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Machigasta's Mateo Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Mikeldi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Rodriguinho Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Hegoi. Machigasta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Mateo Hegoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobaldo Mikeldi went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Mateo Hegoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Mikeldi in the 46th minute of play. Rodriguinho Lopes scored 0-6 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Hegoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when Rodriguinho Lopes made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Machigasta defense, Rodriguinho Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateo Hegoi. The Machigasta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateo Hegoi should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Rodriguinho Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Hegoi was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 65th minute Rodriguinho Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Machigasta's Mateo Hegoi got control of the ball when Tymoteusz Cieliczka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateo Hegoi was a little too slow when Rodriguinho Lopes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-13. If Rodriguinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Cleto Cristofol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Hegoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Hegoi was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Rodriguinho Lopes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodriguinho Lopes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. Deportivo Scalonetta's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
