Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arnulfo Beliran took the kick off in the first half of the match. CA Vélez Sarsfield's Eulalio Oro got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Eulalio Oro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Vélez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gaspar Baumar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Iztal having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, CA Vélez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Baldomero Iztal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Baumar. 23 minutes into the match, Carrizal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Vimaro came free, but Anacleto Pes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Oro in the 24th minute of play forced Carrizal AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Pes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Oro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Pes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Vedillo scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Pes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Vedillo in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anacleto Pes saved Carrizal AFC from getting behind. After 30 minutes of play, CA Vélez Sarsfield's Ladislao Vimaro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anacleto Pes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anacleto Pes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Mambru in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Hernan Vedillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Pes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Oro in the 38th minute of the match. If Eulalio Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes CA Vélez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Marco Mikeldi. Anacleto Pes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Vedillo in the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Ladislao Vimaro could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Anacleto Pes however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Carrizal AFC's Fulgencio Adrio got a free kick in the 74th minute. Anacleto Pes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Vedillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hernan Vedillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anacleto Pes came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernan Vedillo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 83rd minute. In the 89th minute Eulalio Oro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Pes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Oro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over CA Vélez Sarsfield could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carrizal AFC throughout the match.
