Spectators: 7394 (Terracing: 5546, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 147) Empalme's Felipe Medero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute of the match, Cleto Cristofol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hilario Bartoli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hilario Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Lopes in the 10th minute of play. Hilario Bartoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes Deportivo Scalonetta got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Mikeldi. Hilario Bartoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tymoteusz Cieliczka in the 15th minute. Claudio Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Empalme were awarded a corner. Ovidio Larpe went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Deportivo Scalonetta booed when Empalme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Francho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes, Empalme's Joel Fero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudio Berriotxoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Empalme reached it. Claudio Berriotxoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Medero in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Empalme's Hilario Bartoli got control of the ball when Tymoteusz Cieliczka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Empalme's Hilario Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Cristofol in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Felipe Medero sped through Deportivo Scalonetta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Berriotxoa. In the 36th match minute, Empalme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Medero to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Empalme defense, Teobaldo Mikeldi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Bartoli. The Empalme fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Bartoli should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Empalme's goalkeeper Hilario Bartoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Delfino. Deportivo Scalonetta's Claudio Berriotxoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Francho in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Deportivo Scalonetta got a freekick which was hit by Matias Burni. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Medero in the 45th minute of play forced Deportivo Scalonetta's goalkeeper Claudio Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Iruinea hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodriguinho Lopes to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Rodriguinho Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Lopes took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Bartoli. Hilario Bartoli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 59 minutes into the match, Empalme's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Lopes came free, but Hilario Bartoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Lopes scored 3-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Bartoli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hilario Bartoli came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Scalonetta's Rodriguinho Lopes. But to his dismay, Rodriguinho Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Empalme's Hilario Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Cristofol in the 70th minute of play. Felipe Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Berriotxoa having to interfere. During the 75th minute of the match Felipe Medero completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Felipe Medero a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Felipe Medero kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Hilario Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Lopes in the 77th minute of the match. Cleto Cristofol scored 5-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Bartoli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alonzo Delfino came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Deportivo Scalonetta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Delfino couldn't finish the play. Claudio Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Casomiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 86 minutes Deportivo Scalonetta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ovidio Larpe who took care of the corner kick. Empalme's Ovidio Larpe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudio Berriotxoa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 88 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Mikeldi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Hilario Bartoli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Alonzo Delfino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Deportivo Scalonetta players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
