The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froilan Gitano charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Froilan Gitano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Eulalio Oro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of CA Vélez Sarsfield booed when Insomio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Oro struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Paulino Guib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Vélez Sarsfield. The referee ignored Insomio FC's protests and gave Conrado Rico a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Insomio FC's Conrado Rico got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Faustino Victoro to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jacinto Egoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulino Guib. Insomio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Insomio FC booed when CA Vélez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Iliana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Guib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Oro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Eulalio Oro notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Insomio FC's Paulino Guib. In the 66th match minute, CA Vélez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Mambru to maneuver through the defense. The CA Vélez Sarsfield fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when CA Vélez Sarsfield's Eulalio Oro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eulalio Oro might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulino Guib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Oro ran back to his position shaking his head. Urbano Iliana hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Paulino Guib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Oro in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Oro in the 84th minute of play forced Insomio FC's goalkeeper Paulino Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Eulalio Oro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Guib. Insomio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Oro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 90thth minute of the game Eulalio Oro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Insomio FC's Paulino Guib was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the CA Vélez Sarsfield players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
