An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Gelmiro in the 8th minute of play forced Los Cachorros de Ted's goalkeeper Uriel Taurino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Los Cachorros de Ted's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Gelmiro came free, but Uriel Taurino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Quinton came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Narciso Iturri could save by the left post. Ivan Quinton hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Uriel Taurino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Gelmiro's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes of play, BOCA JUNIORS's Arnoldo Gelmiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uriel Taurino was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of BOCA JUNIORS booed when Los Cachorros de Ted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Salbatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Taurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Gelmiro in the 45th minute of play. After the first half BOCA JUNIORS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Bernardo George had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nemesio Oriol hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the last second Uriel Taurino throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leo Mogel in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Leo Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Taurino having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Arnoldo Gelmiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Uriel Taurino. The goal made the score 0-2. After a rather tough play, BOCA JUNIORS's Adrian Ordono got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the BOCA JUNIORS defense, Artemio Manilan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Iturri. The BOCA JUNIORS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Iturri should have stopped the shot. BOCA JUNIORS's Narciso Iturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo George in the 78th minute of play. Arnoldo Gelmiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Uriel Taurino made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Los Cachorros de Ted's Ovidio Urbez got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Los Cachorros de Ted's Nemesio Oriol made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Iturri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
