In the 4th minute, Arnulfo Janpier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorio Venceslao was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute Lino Soter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Tallia got free with Amerigo Staniscia in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Lino Soter made a precise shot to the right of Victorio Venceslao. FORMOSA CUCU AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Soter in the 29th minute of play forced FORMOSA CUCU AFC's goalkeeper Victorio Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Gualeguaychú FC's Fidel Serafo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victorio Venceslao was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Gualeguaychú FC's Lino Soter got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the FORMOSA CUCU AFC defense, Arnulfo Janpier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorio Venceslao. The FORMOSA CUCU AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Venceslao should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Cornelio Benvide was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FORMOSA CUCU AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gualeguaychú FC the free kick. Gualeguaychú FC's Amerigo Staniscia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Tallia in the 43rd minute of play. Victorio Venceslao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Soter in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Tallia to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, FORMOSA CUCU AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FORMOSA CUCU AFC booed when Gualeguaychú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Soter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Soter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd match minute, FORMOSA CUCU AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Gombal to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Janpiers short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Victorio Venceslao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Victorio Venceslao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Janpier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Victorio Venceslao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORMOSA CUCU AFC's goalkeeper Victorio Venceslao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victorio Venceslao came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Gualeguaychú FC's Arnulfo Janpier. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Janpier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Valentin Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Venceslao having to interfere. With a little luck, FORMOSA CUCU AFC's Victorio Venceslao got control of the ball when Arnulfo Janpier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gualeguaychú FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
